Works Cited

Eh? Works cited? What's that? Think back to elementary school or 6th grade when you would write an essay for your class and your teacher would say "Your essay needs to have a bibliography." *Ahem* Bibliography

bib·li·og·ra·phy

noun /ˌbiblēˈägrəfē/
bibliographies, plural

  1. A list of the books referred to in a scholarly work, usually printed as an appendix

    • A list of the books of a specific author or publisher, or on a specific subject
      • - a bibliography of his publications

    • The history or systematic description of books, their authorship, printing, publication, editions, etc
      • - he regarded bibliography as a science

      • Your works cited is basically the more advanced version of your elementary bibliography. Usually in elementary school, they would only require you to list the website or book name and author. But the works cited requires much more. A website would usually require an author, date visited, and much more information. So you can imagine, that putting together a works cited is very tiring. Luckily, there are many websites in which you may use that create your works cited for you. I use www.Bibme.org Because it is the only one I have used.(To learn on how to manually cite visit http://www.bibme.org/citation-guide)

Below is an example of a works cited made using the website Bibme.org The works cited shown below is from my 2nd paper on Floyd Landis's not positive drug test

Quick lesson on how to use Bibme.org

(For the "pea" brains that may need this)

Today I'll be covering how to use Bibme (Am only covering the book and website Bibme).

    #1 Books

-When you get to Bibme this should pop up

-Make sure to use Manual entry mode, manual entry mode asks for the Book title, Publisher, City of publication, and year published. This will help you quickly find the book you've used

-If you have only used about 1 chapter of the book there is an option for just citing that selected chapter-

When citing only a chapter from book...
