  Citations

They are  basically direct quotes. In your outline and essay should be the direct quote, than the last name of the author  it was quoted from. NO QUOTATIONS MARKS. The plain quote and the last name of the author it was quoted from in parentheses. As easy as it seems, some students put in quotes anyway even when they are told specifically NOT to put in quotation marks.

Parenthetical citations are listed along with your footnotes at the bottom of each page and on the endnotes page as well. The format of the citations should be: Direct quote(Last name of author quote was taken from).

For more information on parenthetical citations visit: http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/commas.htm#4

Note : below I only super scripted the entry because it added information so therefore, it was a citation and a footnote :)

Added information on In-text Citations and parenthetical citations by other students of Mr. Carney
