MLA Title Page

APA Title Page

Chapter 11

Your title pages are the name tags for your essay; it contains what it is titled, who it is by, who it is for, and the date to be turned in. There are two title pages. The easiest of the two in my opinion is the MLA title page.  It begins with your essay, and your essay does not begin with chapter one it begins with your introduction. It is in the left, upper hand corner, first name space last name (enter) Professor Professor’s name (enter) subject (enter) date month year.  Nothing more nothing less. Warning: the first line of the MLA header is not on the same line as the last name page header. It is only on the page with your introduction. Unlike the MLA title page, the APA title page has its own page.

In fact, it’s similar to a book’s title page. The APA title would be the main name tag. It is the first page of your essay. And in your last name page number header there is no last name next to the page number that time. It is just a plain number. By now, you should have figured out that it must be a separate document from everything since headers repeat themselves. On the same level of your page number header on the far left hand side of your paper is your running head. It would be, Running head: YOUR TITLE HERE IN CAPS. And nine spaces down centered starts the main part of your APA title page.  First, Title of your paper (all important letters in your words capitalized). Then, the subject for which class you wrote it for. Next, is the day you turn the paper in. That date should be specified in this order, date month year. Last, your first name space last name.
