 About Us

When I had first began in Mr. Carney's class, I was so confused. He had attempted to cram all the writing rules into our once tiny heads in just a matter of months. Some of the information got through, but most was lost. Later in the year, you could attempt to ask a question about format of the paper. But, this would usually make him frustrated and in the end he would never answer your question. Frantically, you would search the internet for a fast answer. But numerous results turned up and you didn't know which was which. Mr. Carney had given you reference websites but you had forgotten the names of them or you just didn't know how to use them. He also had given you various worksheets but you had thrown those away because you thought they would be useless. This was the reason for the creation of the website. I thought "It is impossible to remember all these different rules and guidelines." I created this website to making learning how to write easier for new students of Mr. Carney. But how it started was a tiny thought in the middle of 5th period. Why not write a book on how to write? At first to me it was just an assignment. Just a way to get extra credit. But eventually, it wasn't, it was something I wanted to do.

 Part 2:
Remember when you were in elementary school and you would right papers? Easy right?  First paragraph, green for go second, yellow slow down and explain your topic. And conclusion, red  stop and wrap it up.  Though this was the way you were instructed to write in elementary school its not the way you'll learn in high school. Once you get to high school, its a whole different new format. And since you've already gotten used to the elementary ways of writing learning the new way will be very difficult. Though this guide is not exactly the same way you will write in high school, it is very similar. And the main aspect of this guide is to get you to learn how to outline and how to write from your outline. With this guide you will be able to learn what we learned in 4 months but in only 2. 2 months?!? What two months of learning how to write an essay. This may seem a little steep but 2 months, is considerably short since there is much formatting to memorize.

Though I have created this website, I will

eventually turn it over to Mr. Carney. But even so, I will still assist him in managing the website.
